another public post after a long long time! lol
i made
Chocolate Viennese Fingers today! :)
it really tastes good, it melts in your mouth and its super easy to make!
im loving this recipe better than chocolate chip cookies.
mainly because its not very sweet and somewhat had a tinge of bitterness due to the cocoa powder.
if you want it to be sweeter, coat it with more melted chocolate. =D
...and lastly, im going to share the recipe with everyone! teeheehee.
INGREDIENTS115g butter, softened - i used 125g bcos the butter came in that standard came in a block & i find it too troublesome to weigh and cut.
(plus extra for greasing)
55g golden icing sugar, sifted
125g plain flour
1 tbsp cocoa powder - i used van houten soluble cocoa
100g plain chocolate, melted and cooled - i used meiji choc bar
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Sift the flour and cocoa powder into the bowl and work the mixture until it is a smooth, piping consistency.
2. Spoon into a large piping bag. Squeeze the mixture onto baking sheets, allowing room for expansion during cooking. Bake in a preheated oven, 180 degree celcius for 15 minutes.
3. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Dip the ends of the biscuits into the melted chocolate and allow to set before serving.
